Wow! Yesterday my oldest daughter's varsity field hockey team played an amazing game in the first round of the Delaware State Field Hockey Championsips. Although they did not win the game, they played such a great, gutsy game scoring the first goal of the game against the number one seed in the state. I was so proud of the entire team. It has been such a fun season for all of us -- the girls and the parents and they have come such a long way in one season. The last time UA made the playoffs was in 1997, so just making it to the playoffs was a victory in itself. However, to play so well and give the number one seed a scare (no matter how fleeting it was) speaks volumes about the character and skill of our entire team and our coaching staff. Wow!
